Rootconf, Red Hat and the Linux Foundation have partnered to co-host DevConf at Rootconf. Workshops and talks at DevConf cover platform technologies – operating systems, provisioning, application development, monitoring and logging.

We can bring our application up, scale up & down in no time with container orchestrators like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes. In this workshop we’ll explore Kubernetes and look at how we can deploy & monitor a microservice using containers.

Let’s take a look at two popular orchestration and configuration management frameworks. We’ll compare and contrast them as we work through some examples learning how to deploy a simple application stack that will require managing users, installing packages, writing templates, and controlling services.
